Hi Brittany, Emma, and Stefania,

Below you’ll find a short selection of our recent work. We’re proud of these projects and would love the opportunity to explore how we might work together in the near future.

SONGWRITING

Blue’s Clues & You - Mr. Sun

Project Brief: write, arrange, record, produce, sound design, mix and master 52 new songs (or updates of traditional songs) in 52 weeks.

Challenges: the biggest challenge was speed. We needed to scale the team rapidly, and once we had the pipeline established our production became seamless and we met every milestone on schedule. This is the project that earned the Kidscreen Award for Best Preschool YouTube Channel.

Sing & Dance with Dora - Pruebalo

Project Brief: make a song and sound design that encourages preschool age kids to try new foods in English and Español.

Challenges: the key challenge was crafting a memorable, catchy beat that complemented the heavily Latin American influenced culture of the show. To ensure authenticity in both style and language, we hired Latin American pop artist Mariana Restrepo Aguirre, granddaughter of renowned Colombian singer Sonia Martínez de Aguirre, whose expertise helped us capture the musical and linguistic nuances of the genre. Our client then hired us to do more!

UNDERSCORE

Guillermo & Will - Car/Carro

Project Brief: design and deliver all the audio for 10 short Spanish language learning episodes.

Challenges: the primary challenge of the project was defining a musical tone that effectively supported the live-action comedy-drama established by the Fraggle Rock veteran creators. We partnered with our Mexico City–based composer, a longtime collaborator, to create an authentic Mexican musical sensibility. Although the first episode required multiple rounds of iteration with the producers, the musical approach was fully locked in by episode four.

Nicktoons - SpongeBob Races Everyone

Project Brief: design and deliver all the music and sound design on 4 long-form narrative animations.

Challenges: there is no dialogue whatsoever in these episodes, so the music and sound design were essential in conveying the narrative arc. We took time to craft SFX and an underscore that truly propels the story.

SOUND DESIGN

Kid Cowboy - Guess the Gadget #1

Project Brief: design and deliver the music and audio for 20 narrative episodes.

Challenges: this project also drew heavily on Latin American influences, so we engaged our Hispanic consultants while conducting an in-depth exploration of the music and sound design traditions found in classic Spaghetti Westerns.

Backyardigans - Castaways

Project Brief: design and deliver sound design and final mix for 20 music videos.

Challenges: there were no notable challenges with this one, it was pure fun designing the audio-world of this remake of a classic show!

VOICE OVER

Drone Cats - Magnetic Madness

Project Brief: cast, record, and deliver VO (along with all music, sound design, and 5.1 mix) for 24 animated episodes.

Challenges: the primary challenge was finding, auditioning, and casting child actors, particularly given the project’s very specific age and diversity requirements. We leveraged our full network and resources to secure exceptional talent, then set up and coordinated remote recording sessions for each performer over 24 episodes.

Bubble Guppies Mermaids - Hey Dolphin

Project Brief: record, harmonize, and mix vocals for 20 animated music videos.

Challenges: the biggest challenge was recording and synchronizing remote child performers for highly complex vocal performances and layers of harmonies. Not sure if you’ve ever recorded singing remotely, but we have a proprietary recording system that allowed vocalists to monitor one reference track while syncing to an offset track, enabling producers to listen in remotely and provide real-time feedback and notes.

LOCALIZED VO

Baby First - Música Para Niños

Project Brief: cast, record, and deliver localized Spanish VO for an ongoing animated music video series.

Challenges: the biggest challenge was finding the right talent, as the client requested a specific age range and dialect, which limited our options. We successfully cast both a boy and a girl who recorded strong performances in our studio, resulting in a very happy client.

Vichy Decros - R.E.G.E.N. Booster

Project Brief: record and mix localized French VO for an ongoing makeup campaign.

Challenges: no significant challenges were encountered, as we have extensive experience recording hundreds of ads for L’Oréal, Maybelline, and Vichy.

MIXING

Ping & Roar - Pretend Pet

Project Brief: make and deliver all music and audio (except VO) for ongoing Amazon series.

Challenges: this project had no significant challenges. We handled the composition of the theme song, all underscore, plus the complete sound design, and we’ve been enthusiastic supporters of this small-studio cult hit from the outset.

SpongeBob NFL Slimetime - Patrick Reacts

Project Brief: add sound design, music edit of library tracks, and final mix for Nickelodeon’s NFL Slimetime.

Challenges: the primary challenge on this was the very fast turnaround, particularly given the complexity and density of the sound design it needed. Despite the fast schedule, we executed the work seamlessly, keeping that high level of detail and polish throughout the process. The project was delivered without issue, and the client was very happy.
